Tonight there were some clear industry stars that made history at the iconic venue, o2 Arena (London).
Mabel, Dave and Stormzy led the Brits night with a stream of iconic urban music and very truthful words through their lyrics. There are some great young talented stars paving their own path in the industry today.
Dave performed his track ‘Black’ with an extra verse to the ending. Calling out our MP for being racist, speaking out about deforestation.

He said what most of us can’t or don’t want to express in words, except his message was fortunately streamed all over the world. Viewers could watch The Brits on Amazon Music live stream and ITV for the UK. Dave expressed views including deforestation, Meghan Markle and the royals but even Grenfell, which isn’t to be forgotten. All in one rap. Genius.
No other artist has been so expressive and brave through spoken word style rap on such a large platform to convey their message.
