Eilish…The name’s Billie. Billie Eilish – debuts new bond Soundtrack at The Brits
The 18-year-old, made her debut at The Brits last night after winning the award for International Female Artist. But she also performed on the night, a highly anticipated performance.
A never seen or heard before performance made history as Billie debuted the new bond Soundtrack, ‘No Time To Die’. The room full of excitement, screams and anticipation, as audiences were edging off their seats to see what the 18-year-old will bring to the prestigious stage. Eilish is known to be extravagant but very encapsulating during her live performances. Initially, you wouldn’t realise her age or that she was singing a new Bond theme tune not a track off her album.
Until… the orchestra kicked in, she was joined by Hans Zimmer, film soundtrack guru, who intensified the performance. The stage was filled with intensity and build-up by the strings section accompanied by Eilish’s vocals. This definitely felt like a film score the longer and longer the song went on, and slowly youngsters in the audience realised it’s not a time to be screaming, but to listen to the artistic arrangement of the song.
As memorising as Billie Eilish, the new soundtrack is sure to be a hit. No other artist apart from Adele has performed such a beautiful but intense vocal for blockbuster films.
Good luck to Billie Eilish, and her brother Finneas for 2020.
