‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, charity single out now
This year global megastars have joined forces to form Radio Allstars and have recorded a heartfelt rendition of ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’. Artists include Cher, Kylie Minogue, Jay Sean, Lauv, and many more.
With the unique situation, we are all in even Children In Need has had to make an adjustment, each star filmed and recorded their contributions from their home countries. Normally it would be a celebrity festival where they all meet up to record and sing together forming a powerhouse choir. The significant change didn’t stop the quality of music though, we still had stars putting in 100% with Cher recording all the way from Malibu, Jay Sean from New Jersey, and Yolo from Nashville. With the power of internet and social media the stars recorded their lines from home and with the song has been put together by producers Mark Taylor and Brian Rawling.
The song is a cover of the original track written by Noel Gallagher during his time in Oasis and first released in 2002. Decca records and BBC have chosen this as the official charity single of 2020 to raise funds for “disadvantaged children and young people across the UK” (Children in Need, 2020). Last year a massive 35 million pounds was raised across all fundraising activities. Let’s hope we can all support and get close the record breaking number.
