Who was Natasha Sandhu? Should we all be CPR trained?
Natasha Sandhu, unfortunately, passed away from sudden cardiac arrest in 2018. She was the late wife of British Asian star Arjun, but also his tour manager.
Natasha played a key role in her husband’s career, she helped grow him as an artist, dealt with enquiries. But also found him new opportunities to perform and organised the back end of his career with full support.
He married his long-term best friend and girlfriend Natasha Sandhu. As of today, the couple had been together for almost 10 years. However in 2018, Natasha tragically died of sudden cardiac arrest. She did not drink, did not smoke and was healthy. But the day before the couple were due to fly out to Iceland, Arjun had to complete CPR after Natasha had trouble breathing at home whilst packing her suitcases. Unfortunately, after medics arrived at their home, she was pronounced dead shortly after.
What actually happened?
Incredible but heartbreaking news about Natasha Sandhu who passed away from sudden cardiac arrest. Natasha was a qualified doctor who graduated from Imperial College London.
Today (16th Feb 20′) marked the 2nd wedding anniversary for the singer. As a tribute the concert #ForNatasha was organised and the British Asian Community came together to help the young singer and support him through what we couldn’t even imagine is a tough time.
The event was in aid of charity C.R.Y. Cardiac In The Young. Who work with young people and support them to complete screenings for potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions. Offering bereavement support to families affected by YSCD.

BBC Documentary – with Arjun
Arjun releases track ‘One Last Time’, admitted in a BBC documentary that he only saw the wedding footage for the first time in the music video. This song was written about Natasha, Arjun goes on to sing…”Tell me why you — can’t just spend one night — back down here in my arms — for one last time”. This heartbreaking but uplifting song showing the positive side of their relationship. But also depicting the love and affection they had for each other Natasha really was his support system.
Arjun kept his personal life very private, but this was the very first time he expressed himself so directly and truthfully to his fans and the wider community. We appreciate Arjun’s honesty and ability to put on such an incredible night at Hammersmith Eventim Apollo. Speaking to family, friends at the event, they all praised how strong Arjun is as a person. Credited him for coming back out into the public eye, so quickly after the death of his partner. We applaud Arjun after hearing such comments, as it’s clearly transparent to the fans and to us that healing is a long process but he is coming out strong. The star has many friends in the industry who support him and would do anything.
From us at Music Unboxed, I’d just like to say we command you on your strength and support you in your future ventures.
